Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

Dear Patriots Band Members,

In response to recommendations and interim guidance from President Donald Trump, Federal Agencies, and State health officials, the Patriots Band will be suspending all group rehearsals and events until further notice. This decision is made with sincere hope that our actions will assist in slowing the transmission of COVID-19 within our nation and to vulnerable populations within our community.

We will, of course, be monitoring the virus situation carefully and will inform band members when it is safe to resume our rehearsal schedule. The Spring concert will be rescheduled to another date, when the music of George Gershwin will sound better than ever. Summer concerts will be discussed with our hosts and rescheduled, if necessary. This is a difficult time for our nation, and a good band concert will be an excellent way to restore spirit and Patriotic pride. Please monitor this website for updates and news on our rehearsal and concert schedules.

Some band members have reported that playing their horns while wearing a surgical mask is a bit difficult, so we don't recommend that you try that. ;-) Instead, we request that everyone please do your best to keep your musical skills honed and your lips in shape for our return to playing. We all look forward to being together again as members of the Patriots Symphonic Band!

Be safe, be healthy, and we hope to see you all SOON!
